Reduction Technologies

Once an ethanol extraction is performed, the resulting emulsion (ethanol/essential oil tincture) must go through a “reduction phase”. During this process, the ethanol is separated from the oil to produce a concentrate. Most commonly, this process is done via rotary evaporator.

Capna Fabrications Falling Film evaporator is designed to expedite the reduction phase, and ultimately increase the output of your ETHOS extraction system.

Our FFE has been designed to meet the needs of production facilities processing mad weight. Capable of reducing 1L/min or 5gal / 16min, this system will eliminate bottle necking which can occur with rotory evaporator reduction.

Until now, Ethanol has been grossly overlooked as a solvent by the cannabis extraction industry.
